The Salvage Atelier empowers young creatives from low-income communities to express themselves sustainably and affordably by transforming pre-owned, thrifted, and found materials into one-of-a-kind fashion and art. Unlike traditional retail or expensive design studios, it aims to provide accessible tools, shared workspace, guidance, and a community-focused environment. The goal is to not only reduce our carbon footprints, but to do so while allowing creators the opportunity to develop their skills, collaborate, and profit from their creations through flea markets, online resale platforms, or digital shops.

Address the gaps between sustainability, affordability, and unique creative expression for a happier, healthier, and of course, a more stylish future.
The opinion journals are intended to support the values the Atelier holds, and call attention to broader social issues that further the mission.
